Who We Are
The non-profit organization is organized in the form of an association called “Institute of Human Rights and Non-formal Education” (hereinafter referred to as Institute) and operates under Law No. 8788 dated 07.05.2001 “On Non-Profit Organizations”.
The Institute is an independent, research, advisory, research, non-partisan, non-profit institution that aims to raise awareness and promote human rights and their implementation by young people and other community members in Albania, the region and other states.
The Institute has its own stamp, which is used in official documentation and correspondence with third parties, as well as its logo.
The form and content of the seal and the logo of the Institute are determined by its governing bodies.
The Institute has acquired legal personality since the date it was registered in the Register of Non-Profit Organizations at the Tirana Judicial District Court.
The Institute is headquartered in Tirana at: Rr. Dom Mark Shushi, Building 46, 3rd Floor, Tirana.
The Institute shall operate throughout the territory of the Republic of Albania in accordance with the legislation in force, as well as outside the Republic of Albania in accordance with the legislation applicable in the country concerned.
The Institute will operate for an unlimited period of time.
Our Mission
Conducting research and studies on the real situation of human rights in Albania.
Development of studies, research, seminars, conferences, workshops and various training’s on topics that affect the reality of human rights in the country.
Organizing and conducting scientific studies on various aspects of human rights and focusing on youth in Albania and the region.
Training and education of students, young people also youth workers in the implementation of human rights in their work.
Raising awareness of human rights and their implementation by youth and other community members.
Increasing the capacity of young people to protect human rights through various creative methods.
Target group: youth, with special focus on those coming from marginalized groups such as Roma, LGBT, youth with disabilities, youth from poor and rural areas, etc.
